ZAHA/ brick flatform sandal

This brick flatform sandal is inspired by the Shanzhai culture. I deconstructed Zara as a brand and create “Zaha”, which of course refers to the architect Zaha Hadid. I played with the idea of fast fashion and create a fashion item with an architectural aesthetic but still “fast”.

I used brick and ribbon to make it easy to assemble, but mostly to make it fast and cheap in a funny and ironic way. It is a game of exploration, deconstruction and reinvention. A contrast between reality and fiction.
